April 2009 Focus Group Agenda

(This meeting will take place over Webex—your Focus Group Leader will email directions as to how to attend. Plan to arrive early so the meeting can start on time and allow 2 hours for this meeting.)

1. Read the WASC Expected Outcomes of Self-Study together

2. Discuss WASC Rubrics for your group’s section and decide as a group which response best fits our school at this time and why.

3. Review the prior WASC Report for your school and discuss how the findings and suggestions have been addressed during the past 2 years and what progress has been made in those areas.

4. Begin work on your group’s sections for focus of the WASC Criteria Indicators and Prompts. Read the directions in the top section of page one and begin your work together on #1 - 3. Use any of the documents posted in the WASC section of the Website as needed (findings, evidence, surveys, etc) or other school documents as needed. You will discuss the guide questions, examine school data, decide what evidence addresses this section, then list findings and evidence. Please be accurate and specific! How well we do this job together will determine the number of years of accreditation we will earn at the end of this process!
